Carmelita’s was established in 1962 by Mr. Alberto C. Heredia and his wife Carmen G. Heredia at its present and original location in Roseville. Since then, Carmelita’s has served the finest Mexican food in the area. In 1985, Clemente Heredia and his wife Rosalba Heredia bought his parents’ business and continued the fine food tradition started by his parents. In 1987, Carmelita’s expanded to another location in Fair Oaks, with an outdoor patio and a full bar. Carmelita’s is well known for its Mexican style seafood that started in Roseville in 1986.
The menu features old family recipes that come primarily from the state of Puebla in Mexico.
The restaurant continues a truly family tradition since it was started by Alberto Heredia, is now owned by his son Clemente and don't be suprised to find Clemente's children working hard in the restaurant. The family has grown into 4 generations now and so has the restaurant. What was once a small restaurant in Roseville, California has now expanded and grown into one of the best known and respected businesses in the Sacramento area. This business could be best described as the backbone of the Heredia family. The Heredia family is fully involved in running the restaurant in its day to day operations.

Catering General Information
Carmelitas Catering will be glad to help you creating your custom menu, selecting your favorite entrée from our menu. Prices are per person and do not include taxes or gratuity. Paper and plastic ware will be available at an extra charge. For china plates, please add $2.00 per person.
FULL SERVICE CATERING
Our food will be served buffet style. If needed we will provide chafing dishes and decorate our serving tables with colorful linen (zarapes). Servers will be provided to keep you from the stress of maintaining the control of the serving and to keep the food hot and refilled. Referrals will be provided upon request.
FULL CATERING SERVICE FEE
Our professional catering servers will set up, serve and clean after your catered event for a minimum service charge of 20% of food and beverage sales for orders of $500 and up. However, full catering may be available for a minimum $100 service fee. This covers their services. If for any reason you request our servers to stay longer in order to help with cake cutting or any other need, the cost is $12.00/hour per server.
A bartender can also be provided for $15.00/hour plus tips (minimum of 4 hours)
DELIVERY (Set-up only)
For all those who would rather serve themselves and be able to maintain the food hot we offer a delivery and setup option. Delivery and setup of food and chafing dishes are available for a charge of 15% of the food and beverage sales. Without equipment there will be a charge of $50.00. For all off premises catered events a minimum of $300.00 is required.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A 25% deposit on the projected cost of the catered event is required at the time that the event is confirmed. Final attendance counts should be confirmed 72 hrs prior to the event. The number of guests confirmed will be considered a guarantee not subject to reduction.
All balances due are payable immediately upon completion of the catered event.
Major credit cards are accepted for your convenience. Deposits are refundable until one week prior to the function.
Final attendance count should be confirmed 5 working days prior to the event. Client can increase the guest count up to 24 hours before an event. The number of guests confirmed will be considered a guarantee and is not subject to reduction.
