Are You Interested In TBC's Ministry ...

Come Worship With Us
Wednesdays And Sundays
And Feel The Difference!

We Getting Ready To
Raise The Roof!

We are moving closer to raising the roof on our new facility
across the street from the existing church and school. Plans have
been submitted and approved by the Roseville City Council for the
construction of a new and improved Church of the Valley,
Tabernacle Baptist Church. Pastor Gunter jokingly said in service
last Wednesday, "that we are about six to seven years away from
our new building!" What is not a joke is that there is going to
be a huge new building built across the street and that the
tractor work will begin in the 1st or 2nd quarter of 2008. It's
never to late, to look toward '08!

Let's all pray that the construction goes well and that the
building will be raised real soon. We want to extend our hand of
welcome to you all that are looking for a new church or are
looking to change from your existing church. We want to grow our
congregation in God! Please feel free to visit us on Sundays at
either 9:00am, or 10:45am and at 7pm or on Wednesdays for Bible
study at 7pm. For further information, please contact the church
office at 916.728.5500. May God Bless.

Letter From Pastor
Dear Friend,

It is my hope and prayer that you take a few minutes and look
over the ministry of the Church of the Valley-Tabernacle Baptist
Church and Valley Christian Academy. Both of these ministries
have the feeling of family; people growing and ministering
together as a part of the family of GOD.

If you feel the Lord's leading you to us, I pray that that you
come and visit us at either the church and/or the school. We'd
love to meet you, show you around, and answer any questions you
might have.

When I started Tabernacle Baptist Church many, many years ago,
the first sermon I preached was from John 3:16. Today that verse
is even more precious than it was then.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life."

With as much stress, challenges, and pain that life offers today,
Christ with His mission of love, compassion, empathy,
forgiveness, and deep inner peace, is the only way to lead a
balanced life. He bids so fondly to each of us:

"Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I WILL
GIVE YOU REST.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly
in heart; and you shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

Isn't HE AWESOME!

Thanks for your time. His will be done.

Mission Statement
Valley Christian Academy's Mission Statement:

Valley Christian Academy provides excellence in education in a
nurturing, Christ-centered and grace-oriented environment. Our
mission is to challenge, motivate, and inspire students to grow
in Christian character and to become equipped to be loving,
responsible adults who will have a positive impact upon
themselves, their families, their community and our beloved
Lord.

Verse: But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever.
Amen.
II Peter 3:18

Verse: That He would grant you, according to the riches of his
glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner
man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being
rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breath and
length and depth and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3: 16-19

VCA Family Service Plan

Time, Talent & Treasure lead to Rewards & Achievement

Valley Christian Academy relies on your help to provide our
children with the best education possible. Research shows that
children whose parents are involved in their school do better
academically. Fund raising projects provide us an opportunity for
teamwork in helping the school reach our goals and objectives as
well as an atmosphere for the development of family bonding and
camaraderie.

In order to achieve the above purposes and in an effort to keep
tuition as low as possible, VCA is announcing a new Family
Service Plan wherein every family must assume the responsibility
of contributing to Valley Christian Academy Family Service Plan
according to both the Financial and Service Hour Commitments.

1. Financial Commitment

Agreement to contribute a minimum of $100 through selling Candy
Bars which is our only mandatory fund raiser. ($50 buy-out
alternative option.)

2. Service Hour Commitment

Annual agreement to volunteer a minimum of 30 hours (20 hours for
single parent families) / 40 hours for families on assisted
tuition plans. Each family should account for all service hours
performed and submit the total number of hours served to the
school office in order to be credited to the family service plan.
Service hours may be recorded on the form provided. The final
date to submit service hours for the current school year will be
April 30, 2009.

Additional Information

The accumulation of service hours will be on a school year basis,
from September of the current school year through April of the
following school year. Any hours accumulated after April 30 will
be applied to the service contract for the following year. Any
hours earned after April 30, but before the close of school may
be submitted prior to school closing in June.
If a family does not meet the minimum fundraising requirement
($100), the difference will be added to the May tuition bill.
If a family does not meet the minimum service hour requirements
(30/40 hours), the difference will be added to the May tuition
bill at a rate of $10.00 per hour.
Additional hours does not equate to a reduction in tuition.
