We [Country Waffles, Inc.] are a California corporation. All of our stock is owned by H. T. & Chic Brooks and his wife, Judy. Mr. Brooks is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Country Waffles, Inc. and serves as its President and Chief Operations Officer.
We franchise Country Waffles restaurants. That is all we do. We do not own and operate restaurants, but Mr. and Mrs. Brooks, individually and through another corporation [Brooks Ranch Ent., Inc.], own and operate eight Country Waffles restaurants. Mr. Brooks has been actively engaged in the restaurant business for more than 40 years.
Mr. Brooks opened the first Country Waffles in May, 1991. Country Waffles, Inc. has sold Country Waffles franchises since November, 1992. Apart from the restaurants owned by Mr. and Mrs. Brooks and Brooks Ranch Ent., Inc., there are presently thirty Country Waffles owned by eighteen separate franchisees.
Country Waffles serves only breakfast and lunch. It's usual hours of operation are from 6:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., seven days per week.
Pete Kearney serves as our Area Director for the San Francisco Extended Bay Area. Mr. Kearney, through entities he controls, operates Country Waffles in Clayton, Livermore, Dublin, Antioch, Danville and Pleasant Hill.
