| Details: Our History The Granchev family has been in the flower business for three generations. Their entry into the business originated in the Ukraine when the grandmother purchased 2.5 acres of land to grow flowers and sell them in the wholesale markets. Their daughter Liudmila and her husband Serge continued the family business and in 1992, the daughter opened a retail florist shop in the City of Zaporogye. In March of 2007, the family sold their wholesale and retail business in the Ukraine and immigrated to the USA. Since then they have been planning a new florist business in the USA and this dream was realized when on December 1, 2007 they open their shop in the Town & Country Plaza in Sacramento, CA. Our Goal Is to make Florist de Luxe the premier florist and gifts shop in the Greater Sacramento area. With three decades of experience, the family hopes to add a fourth generation with time. The heart of any business is the personnel and their ability to understand their customer's needs. Having grown and nurtured flower all their lives, the Granchev family have set high standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Our Family Irina, President is the daughter of Liudmila and immigrated to the USA twelve years ago. Irina has been in the cutting edge of style and fashion for over ten years and is a licensed cosmetologist practicing in Sacramento. She has trained all over the world including London, Paris, Belgrade, New York and Beverly Hills. Her insight to style and design has influenced everything in the store and we invite you to come and see for yourself. Irina is very people oriented and you will find her enthusiasm contagious. Liudmila - Sr. Floral Designer. She grew up in the floral business and is really the matriarch of the family. Her sense of design, style, and overall knowledge of flowers will be a great asset to the business. She looks forward to creating something special for any occasion and for any budget. She always says, "If you can imagine it, I can make it." Serge - Field Operations and Head buyer. Serge originally came into this business as a result of marriage. Over the years he took charge of all field operations relating to planting, cultivation, and transportation of flowers. If you spend most of your life growing flowers, you come to know what quality is. Sergy will be at the flower marts, when most are still sleeping, shopping for the best the seasons can offer. Angelina & Anna - Hopefully the next (fourth) generation of family members that will come into the business. Although to young to design flowers, the girls are ecstatic to be part of the business. You will see them periodicaly in the store and they are always eager to help you make selections of the perfect flower arrangement or gift ideas. As they see it, they have plenty of time to learn and great teachers to learn from.
