We've already seen massive walls of distrust come crashing down. Though still in a fledgling state... this faith vision drips with God's eternal purpose... Their towering steeples are beacons of hope, centerpieces in the tow squares of cities around the world. Even in our own nation, the pastor was once called "the parson," meaning "the person." Why do 93% of the people who regularly attend the Rock say they are categorically more whole than they were six months ago? We believe our "Seven Rock Values" are the key! Prior to planting the Rock of Roseviille in October of 1997, Pastor Francis and Suzie Anfuso had ministered in hundreds of churches over a twenty year period. The proven qualities found in the healthiest churches they visited became what are now known as the "Seven Rock Values." Rock Value #1 Gratitude & Joy Being GRATEFUL & JOYFUL for God's Love (Nehemiah 8:10) Jesus said the way to tell a real Christian is by their fruit. Gratitude is the first indication we understand and appreciate what Jesus did on the Cross. The outgrowth of this revelation will be a life of overflowing joy in the Lord. Rock Value #2 Wholeness WHOLENESS in Every Part of My Life (Colossians 2:10) Colossians 2:9-10 says, "...you are complete in Him." The word "complete" is the Greek word "pleroo". It is translated as "satisfied, finished, filled up, fulfilled, made full and perfected". Jesus has called every believer to be completely "whole", in spirit, soul and body. Rock Value #3 Destiny Fulfilling My DESTINY, and Helping Others Fulfill Theirs (Jeremiah 29:11) Most people live as if they have NO destiny. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "God has made everything beautiful for its own time." Everything includes you! Surrender your heart to God and He'll make your life beautiful. It's His destiny for you. Rock Value #4 Giving " GIVING" and not "Taking" ( Proverbs 11:24) If everybody gives, we can go anywhere God calls us to go and do anything God calls us to do. Since the inception of The Rock, over 90% of its members have been faithful to give of their Time, Talents, and Treasures to the Lord. Rock Value #5 Serving SERVING God and Others - Out of Love - (Mark 9:35) In many churches, there is the "80/20 Rule". 20% of the congregation does 80% of the serving in the church body. Every person who attends The Rock is asked to serve in at least one area. This has led to an incredible atmosphere of love and care for one another, with over 90% of the Rock body serving at any given time. Rock Value #6 Honoring HONORING God & Other People (1 Corinthians 12:26) People don't honor one another for 4 reasons: 1). They're IGNORANT of each other's value. 2). They're INSECURE about their own value. 3). They're SELFISH: "t's all about me". 4). They're LAZY: "It takes too much effort". At The Rock we don't take people for granted. Rock Value #7 Accountability Personal ACCOUNTABILITY in My Spiritual Life (Hebrews 3:13) We live in a culture which emphasizes "Individual Rights". while ignoring "Individual Responsibility". We all need someone who will pray for us, and when needed, speak the truth in love. ___STATEMENT OF FAITH___ WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired and infallible authoritative Word of God. WE BELIEVE there is one God eternally manifested in the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, in His vicarious and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His Ascension and in His personal return in power and glory upon the earth. WE BELIEVE regeneration and conversion through faith in Jesus Christ are absolutely essential for salvation of lost and sinful humanity and that water baptism by immersion is the biblical testimony of that conversion. WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father to implement the grace of salvation in the life of an unbeliever and to permanently indwell each believer empowering them with wisdom, strength and gifts to lead a life of Christlike character and bear fruit to the glory of the Father. WE BELIEVE in world evangelism: accepting the commission of Jesus Christ, who is Lord, to make disciples of all nations, to baptize them and teach them to observe His commandments. The church has grown to a congregation of over 750 members and two outreach churches, the Rock of Granite Bay and the Rock of Rocklin. Approximately 300 people were sent out to start these two churches. Francis and his wife, Suzie, received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in the early 1970's. They pastored a Christian community in Smartsville, CA from 1977 to 1981 Francis is an internationally respected communicator who has traveled throughout the world during the 1980's and 90's ministering to hundreds of thousands of people in many nations. As founder of Christian Equippers International and 21st Century Ministries, Francis has produced booklets, tracts, videos, and seminars materials that have reached millions of people. His communication style has been called funny, insightful, unpredictable, and profoundly practical. |
