| Details: We have been in business for almost a decade. We began in the late 90's buying and selling video arcade games and Pinball machines. We had found that there was a high demand for classic video games such as Pacman, Galaga, and Donkey Kong. The demand was for 30- 40 year old that wanted to relive their past. We began buying, selling, and repairing equipment. We found eBay to be a big part of our business for about 4 years. It made it possible for guys like us to offer items all over the world. We have sold equipment to such countries as Russia, Mexico, Germany, England, and Canada. We are an importer of amusement games from countries such and Germany, Spain, Japan and South America. We able to offer unique items at great prices do to our buying power, and warehouse space. Our retail showroom really allows us to showcase our great product line. People are so excited that they have one store that they can shop at for all their gameroom needs. If you haven't yet had the opportunity, and live within driving distance. We encourage you to see for yourself what everyone is talking about. Our showroom is truley "WORTH THE DRIVE". Thanks -Stephen W Hopson Looking for the right cue for you? We have one of the largest selections of darts in Northern California. We feature products from some of the top dart companies including: Accudart. Bottelsen, Dart World, DMI, GLD, and Harrows. We are always adding to our dart selection, just ask our customers! What are darts made out of? Darts are made out of one of the following materials: brass, nickel silver or tungsten. Brass is a soft/light material, which makes for easy machining. his helps to keep costs down. Due to the lightness of this material, the darts get bulky as the weight increases. Nickel-Silver is slightly heavier than brass, but is still considered a soft/light material. Again, a nickel-silver dart will get bulky as the weight increases. Nickel-silver darts do not tarnish as easily as brass darts and usually retain their luster for a much longer period. Tungsten is a brittle and dense material. Because of its brittleness another alloy is added to it to avoid breakage, the most common is nickel. The higher the percentage of tungsten, the density in the barrel increases. Thereby you can have a smaller barrel (than brass or nickel-silver) even with the same or greater weight. The higher the percentage of tungsten, the cost of the dart usually goes up. This is because Tungsten is a harder material to machine. The hardness of a Tungsten barrel allows it to retain its grooves and knurl longer than a nickel-silver or brass dart. Tungsten is a preferred choice for more serious darters because you can group your darts tighter with a smaller barrel. Soft Tip Darts The most common weight for soft tip darts is 18 grams, followed by 16 grams, although you will occasionally find a lighter 14gram dart or even a 12 gram dart. There are even a few 20g soft tip darts available. Soft tip darts are weighed complete (flight, shaft, barrel and point). Most soft tip darts have both 2ba tip and shaft thread size, this allows for easily reversing the barrel to find a better grip--based on individual preference. Occasionally, you will find a tip size, but this is not that common. Keep this in mind when purchasing accessories for your soft tip darts or when purchasing multiple sets of darts that you may want to use the same tip size for all. Steel Tip Darts The most common weights for steel tip darts are between 22 grams and 25 grams. There are of course lighter as well as heavier steel tip darts. We have stocked them as heavy as 40grams! Steel tip darts are weighed barrel and point only. Steel tip darts have either fixed or moveable points. The most common type of steel tip dart is the fixed point. The reasoning behind a moveable point dart is it allows for fewer bounce outs when you hit the wires on the board. |
